3rd vitrine - German brands

     4th shelf - " Germanmix " 1

Maybe one of my favorite shelves . Only plastic toys from the 60's and 70's . Models range from mint to old tired toys . A very special toy , I don't know the material of the body and with metal wheels ,  from the 30's , is the " cherry " on the top of the cake , an old saying here in Portugal .

Pic 1 , as you can see we start with 2 line up , on the right Hammer and on the left eight models of an unknown maker . I need your help for some german makers , of wich I don't know nothing , not even the brand name .

Hammer models were made in the 60's . Good body lines for this Kapitan P 2.5 L , you can see 7 different colors , but there are much more . Very simple models , 2 main parts , roof , usualy white , with glazing , that is glued to the inferior part of the body . The wheels and axle are one grey plastic piece
attached to the inferior part of the body .

On the left , of an unknown maker , four Rekord B two doors and four Kapitan A
. Very simple models . Plastic body , four different colors , red , blue , green and yellow , clear glazing glued to the body , grey plastic base including the bumpers and black plastic wheels with metal axles . Engraved on the base " Made in west Germany " and the name of the model , Opel Rekord or Opel Admiral . Engraved on the inner side of the base " 6 " for the Admiral and " 7 " for the Rekord . Later I will show a copy of these models made in Bulgaria .

In second plan three plastic Stelco models . The Commodore B four doors saloon is the only Opel model from this maker . Good body lines , clear glazing and detailed interior . Chromed base including front and rear bumpers , grille , headlamps and rear lights . Plastic wheels and metal axles . I think I have all colors , red , yellow and red with black roof . Pic 1a

Also in second plan , three plastic Kapitan 1956 . I'm not sure if they are Peetzy ! Engraved on the base only " Opel Kapitan " and " West. Germany " . Simple model , plastic body with glued clear glazing and grey plastic base including the bumpers . Grey plastic wheels and axle for the normal models and white wheels for promotional models . Two of my cars have " Collonil " badge on the roof . One of my models doesn't have glazing but seems untouched . Pic 1b

     Pic 2 , on the left a better view of the Hammer Kapitan P 2.5 L .

The Olympia Rekord P1 Caravan is the following model . As for the Kapitan , simple but very good model , with two part body , clear glazing and plastic wheels . In the midle one Olympia Rekord P1 Caravan with " Collonil " badge on the roof and transformed into a key ring . On the right nine P1 Caravan . Different colors or color shades for these models .

Pic 3 , side view of the Hammer Olympia Rekord P1 Caravan .

The following model is a green Olympia Rekord 1957 Caravan . I don't know nothing about it . Is this a Manurba ? Soft plastic toy , no windows or glazing and white plastic wheels and axles . Pic 3a

And now the best model in my collection . Wooden model made in the 30's . Maybe a Rak 1 ? Orange wooden body and brown driver . Metal wheels . I found reference to these models in " Modellautos " , Botho Wagner and Carlernst Baecker . Pic 3b

On the right a line up of Jean models . Two different models , Olympia Rekord P1 and Kapitan P 2.6 L . Extremely simple three piece model , plastic body and wheels ! We must " imagine " that we are seeing the P1 or the Kapitan . I have four different Olympia Rekord P1 , light red white or black wheels , dark red and yellow both with black wheels . The Kapitan I have five colors , dark red , green , blue and two shades of yellow all with black wheels , except for one of the yellow models that has white wheels .
