1 st vitrine - Matchbox models
| The 2nd
shelf is reserved for the second Opel made by Matchbox , the
1984 Kadett E GSI . Released by Matchbox the following year ,
the Kadett had 2 different body types , the normal / competition
versions and the Police version with emergency lights . It was
made in China and in Macau , sold in box or blister and I have
23 different liveries / variations . Mine normal models are new unboxed examples and I only know these 2 colors . The yellow was made for the german market and made in China , while the red was made for Britain and was made in Macau . Polizei models # MB8, I know only the 3 I have , the white / green , was made in Macau or Chine and are different only for the different green shade and glazzing , 2 unboxed and blister for the China made . The white with # 28 is also a Polizei car , Polizei in blue on the doors and seems to be from a set . On the right the " My first Matchbox " version of the Kadett , a toy but very sought after version . |

| On the right the BP promo , a nice version with black body with yellow grafics in the top . Nice yellow / green box . The AC Delco I have at least 3 variants , made in Macau or China , darker or lighter blue / red livery , chromed or white wheels and last but not least box or blister . | ||

The second competition version is John Welsh Rallycross car , I
have 5 variants 3 for the car , with # 7
on the decals , different blue /
red shade and matt or glossy base and 2 more for the car without
# 7 . The yellow and blue Kadett is the Pentti Airikala car ,
sponsored by British Telecom . I only know this version and it
is maybe the rarest model . The Police car is a common sight and was sold in blister or box ( pic 1 ) and was made in China . |

| The first 2 Police cars are similar but on the right we can see the Starcar blister . The second Police car , white and blue , was bought on Ebay and I never saw it selling outside Ebay . White body with yellow / black chequered stripe is quite rare and made in China . The Notarzt version was bought with the white Polizei version , so they might be from a set . | ||

| I haven't shown the Kadett E " World Cup Soccer " , part of one 5 set box , " France 98 - World Cup Soccer " , pic 5 . Nice white body , red interior , windows and emergency lights . " France 98 " logo on the motor hood , blue and red graphic on both sides with " World Cup Security " this is a very nice model . Made in China . Now this set , pic 6 , is already hard to find . The last I saw was priced at 30 euros . | ||
