1 st vitrine - Matchbox models
| The
3rd shelf is reserved for the
1988 Opel Vectra and for the 1989
Calibra . The Vectra / Cavalier , # MB41 or # MB22 , was
available from 1989 and is an excellent casting with excellent
body lines , but was sold only in 2 different liveries . The 1994
DTM series Calibra , # 66 , # 65 , # 3 , etc , was available
from 1996 . Excellent model , it was the base only for an
handfull different versions . I saw a couple of prototypes of
this model and it was a pity that the white / yellow Opel livery
hadn't been produced . On pic 1 my favorite , this unpainted prototype , shown here in first plan . The car is almost finished , but with different wheels and in the base all inscriptions are incomplete for instance , only " Made in " or " 199 " . In the right the common white Coca Cola model , made in China , I have another in a twin pack , same car but inside a blister with a truck . Behind , the " 75 Challenge " Calibra , a limited run of 10000 ex. , a limited edition series with a selection of different models , F1 , Ferrari F50 , etc , all in this color and presentation and also made in China . On the left the 3 different " France 98 World Cup " models , same car but with different colors for the spoiler / interior . The blue and red versions were always sold in packs while the yellow was sold separately in 2 different blisters , here one big blister . |

| On pic 2 , in the right another view of the France 98 Calibras with the Calibra in the small blister and on the left the Vectra / Cavalier models . This model is very well done , but was only sold in 2 different colors , red and green . There are 2 shades of red , but it's hard to see the difference . The car was sold in multi car pack , in blister or box and was made in China and Macau . In my collection I believe I have almost all combinations except the multi car pack . |

In pic 3 the green model MB41 and the Starcar
, that aren't easy
to find . The Starcar , is a standard red car inside a star
shaped blister . Behind , same blister and
car but one was made in Macau and the other in China . For the
color , as you can see , is hard to see differences . On the left the Sidney 2000 Calibra and the orange # 46 . The yellow / blue Calibra was part of an special 5 car pack Sidney 2000 . |
